Education and understanding are critical to putting together any kind of legal plan, whether it's an estate plan, a Medicaid plan, or a business plan.  We take the time to educate you about your options so that you can make the right decisions in your planning.  Whether your goal is to create an estate plan to protect your children or to pass your estate to your loved ones in the most efficient way possible (save estate taxes and avoid probate), to avoid losing your life savings to a nursing home spend-down, or structuring your business to protect your assets and ensure a smooth succession when you leave the business, it's important to start with a strong educational foundation and build from there.

Our Client-Centered 5 Step Process is designed to help you put together the right plan for your needs, as well as make sure that it is properly maintained over time.  Our process allows us to provide the right result for each client.

Step 1 - Education.  Providing you the foundation of information you need to understand the issues and options, so you can choose the right plan for your needs.

Step 2 - Discovery.  Learning about you and your values, needs, and goals.

Step 3 - Design.  Working together to design the right plan that will meet your current needs and goals.

Step 4 - Implementation.  Drafting and signing the legal documents needed to put your plan in place, and working with you and your other advisors (financial advisors and insurance agents) to coordinate your assets with your planning.

Step 5 - Maintenance.  Making changes to your plan over time as needed to adjust for changing laws, goals and circumstances (financial and personal).

Our Team

Richard M. Chamberlain- Attorney

Richard received his B.A. degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1989. In 1992, he earned his law degree from The Florida State University College of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review.  Richard is a member of WealthCounsel, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce.  Richard lives in Perrysburg with Kelly, his wife of 17 years, and their four daughters.
